Meet the Founder
Melisa Gaygusuz, M.S., CCC-SLP
Melisa founded Strategic Speech Solutions with a clear vision: make high-quality speech therapy accessible, personal, and convenient for every family that needs it.

Background & Education
Melisa holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Pace University and a Bachelor of Arts from CUNY Brooklyn College. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and holds the Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification.
Licensed in both New York and New Jersey, Melisa has worked across clinical, school-based, and telehealth settings — giving her a well-rounded perspective on how communication challenges show up in everyday life.
Clinical Philosophy
Melisa believes that therapy works best when it’s built around the individual — not a one-size-fits-all protocol. Every client at Strategic Speech Solutions receives a personalized treatment plan designed around their real-world goals, whether that’s being understood in the classroom, communicating confidently at work, or reconnecting with loved ones after a health event.
Parent involvement is central to her approach with children. Parents are active participants in every session, learning the strategies that make the biggest difference between appointments.
Areas of Expertise
Why Telehealth
Strategic Speech Solutions is a 100% telehealth practice by design. Research consistently shows that online speech therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person sessions — and it removes the barriers that keep families from getting started: long waitlists, difficult commutes, and rigid scheduling.
Telehealth also means parents can be part of every session without rearranging their day, and children practice in their natural environment — which is exactly where communication skills need to work.
