Strategic Speech Solutions

How We Help

Every person communicates differently, and every treatment plan at Strategic Speech Solutions reflects that. We work with school-age children and adults across New York and New Jersey — all through secure, convenient telehealth sessions from the comfort of home.

For Children

Helping school-age kids communicate clearly and confidently.

When a child struggles to be understood — by teachers, peers, or family — it affects everything from classroom participation to friendships to self-esteem. We help children build the skills they need to express themselves with clarity and confidence. Parents are active participants in every session, so strategies carry over into real life.

Speech Sound Disorders

Some children have difficulty producing certain sounds clearly. They might substitute one sound for another, leave sounds out, or be hard to understand in conversation. This is one of the most common reasons families seek speech therapy — and one of the areas where targeted practice makes a meaningful difference.

We work on sounds like R, S, L, TH, and consonant blends, using structured practice that moves from isolated sounds to words, sentences, and natural conversation. The goal is always the same: helping your child be understood the first time they speak.

Language Delays & Disorders

Language is how we understand the world and share our ideas. Children with language delays may have trouble following directions, answering questions, building sentences, or keeping up with reading material at school. These challenges often show up first in the classroom — but they affect a child’s confidence everywhere.

  • Receptive language: understanding what they hear and read
  • Expressive language: putting thoughts into words and sentences
  • Vocabulary development and word retrieval
  • Sentence structure and grammar
  • Reading comprehension support

Fluency & Stuttering Therapy

Stuttering can make speaking feel unpredictable and frustrating. Children who stutter may avoid raising their hand, ordering food, or talking on the phone — not because they have nothing to say, but because the act of saying it feels difficult.

We use evidence-based fluency strategies that help children speak more smoothly and, just as importantly, feel more comfortable and confident as communicators. Therapy is collaborative and supportive — never about perfection.

Social Communication & Pragmatic Language

Communication is more than words. Children who struggle with social communication may have difficulty reading social cues, taking turns in conversation, understanding sarcasm or humor, or knowing how to enter and maintain friendships.

We work on the unwritten rules of conversation and social interaction — perspective-taking, topic maintenance, body language, and flexible thinking — so children can navigate relationships and social settings with greater ease and confidence.

Parent Coaching & Training

The most powerful therapy happens between sessions. That’s why parents are part of every children’s appointment at Strategic Speech Solutions. You’ll learn the specific strategies and techniques your child is working on, so you can reinforce progress during homework, dinnertime conversation, and everyday life.

Parent coaching isn’t an add-on — it’s built into the way we work. When families are equipped with the right tools, children make faster, more lasting progress.

For Adults

Speak with more clarity, confidence, and ease.

Speech therapy is not just for children. Adults seek support for many reasons — recovering communication skills after a stroke or brain injury, modifying an accent for professional settings, or simply wanting to communicate with more clarity and presence. Whatever the reason, the work is personalized, practical, and focused on the situations that matter most to you.

Post-Stroke & Injury Speech Recovery

After a stroke or traumatic brain injury, communication can change suddenly and dramatically. Finding the right words, forming sentences, understanding conversations — skills that were once automatic may require intentional rebuilding.

We provide structured, compassionate therapy that helps adults regain functional communication skills at their own pace. Telehealth makes it possible to receive consistent care without the burden of travel during recovery.

Accent Modification

Accent modification is for multilingual professionals and individuals who want to be more easily understood in English — without erasing their linguistic identity. This is not about “fixing” an accent. It’s about giving you tools to communicate with greater clarity and confidence in the settings where it matters to you.

We focus on the specific sounds, intonation patterns, and rhythm of American English, with personalized coaching tailored to your native language background and professional goals.

Professional Communication & Confidence

Whether you’re preparing for presentations, leading meetings, or simply wanting to be a more effective communicator at work, professional communication coaching helps you develop a clear, confident speaking style.

We work on vocal delivery, pacing, articulation, and the kind of presence that helps people listen when you speak. Sessions are practical and goal-oriented, built around the real situations you face.

Clarity & Fluency

Adults who stutter, or who feel their speech lacks clarity, often carry the weight of that frustration into every conversation. We provide a supportive space to work on fluency strategies, articulation, and the confidence to speak without hesitation — in everyday interactions, professional settings, and personal relationships.

What to Expect

Session Length & Frequency

Sessions are available in 30, 45, or 60-minute formats, typically scheduled 1–2 times per week. We offer flexible scheduling including evening appointments, so therapy fits around school, work, and family life — not the other way around.

How Telehealth Works

All sessions take place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You just need a device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space. No special apps or downloads required.

Payment & Insurance

Strategic Speech Solutions is a private-pay practice. We accept Medicare and IvyPay. For all other insurance plans, we provide superbills (detailed receipts) that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Clients typically recover 50–80% of session fees this way.
